Manipulatives (elementary)
Amazon is my favorite, most convenient place to find learning manipulative.
Alphabet Eggs
All of my kids love playing with these, (even my 3rd grader). They are a wonderful learning manipulative!
Globe
We received this globe as a gift and use it all the time! It’s a wonderful tool to have when teaching geography, history, social studies, and more!
Alphabet Flash Cards (Magnetic)
Alphabet Flash Cards (Not Magnetic)
Play Money
We own this Melissa and Doug Play money set and absolutely love it! It’s great quality and looks very similar to real money so the kiddos won’t be confused when switching to real money.
Abacus
Yes, we totally own this abacus! This wooden Melissa and Doug Abacus is really great quality! It has survived being played with and stepped on by my rambunctious toddler.
Rainbow Counting Bears
These counting bears are so versatile! We’ve used them from preschool to 3rd grade so far. I’ve used them to teach colors, counting, addition, subtraction and more!
Base Ten Counting Blocks
These base ten counting blocks are so helpful when teaching place value! Sometimes place value can be difficult to teach and it really helps the child to have an engaging visual and physical manipulative.
Dashed Line Maker
This is so cool! Use this dashed line maker to create lines anywhere to help your little with their handwriting when writing.
Teaching Clock
Having a teaching clock can really help your child learn to tell time. Have you heard that many children in middle school can’t read an analog clock?? My kids loved learning to tell time on this clock as early as Kindergarten!
Magnetic Letters
This is one of the most loved and used manipulative I’ve ever purchased! My kids love learning with these and just outright playing with them. We own the blue with red vowels set but they also have a rainbow set!
Fraction Manipulatives
Personal White Board
We use these personal white boards almost everyday during school time. My kids use these as “scratch paper”, to write spelling test answers on, and to just draw on for fun.
A few options to choose from, although we prefer the lined on one side and the blank on the back side.
Don’t forget to grab some dry erase markers! We’ve tried tons of different brands but the Expo Markers are the best, lasting markers we’ve found.
Organization
Homeschool Planner
I’ve tried many planners and ended up deciding I’m not a planner type of homeschooler. But, I would recommend these to people who do enjoy using a planner!
Peg Board
We have these peg boards hanging over our homeschool shelves and I love that it keeps all our different markers and what not organized and out of reach of the younger kiddos.
Magazine Holder for Books
We have some similar wire baskets for each of my kids to keep their curriculum in. I love the simplicity this allows for them, they just grab the whole basket and have everything they need. No more books falling over on the shelf, no more “I can’t find my book”.
Book Stand
My mom got me one of these to hold a recipe while cooking, but I’ve used it more during homeschool lessons than I have in the kitchen! I use this to display pictures, quotes, jokes, or copy work!
Hanging Wall Files
These hanging wall files are so handy. They get papers/books out of the shelf and out of reach of little ones. They look nice too!
Paper Storage Case
We have a few different kinds of paper storage cases, and I love them all.
We use the smaller ones to put workbooks or unbound unit studies in. And we use the larger ones to organize card stock, laminating sheets, page protectors, etc.
Pen/Marker Caddy
This marker caddy is so nice to keep your markers/pens/pencils organized. You can store it on a shelf and simply grab the whole thing when ready to use.
Shelving Units
Not sure where you’d store all your books and supplies without some sort of shelving. We use something similar to the 9 cube shelf shown below and love it.
Printer
We just switched to the Epson EcoTank 3850 and are loving it so far! I’ve included another highly recommended make/model too.
Decor
Calming Corner Decor
If you use a calming corner to help your child learn to regulate their emotions, these are a great way to decorate it!

Alphabet, Numbers, Days and Months Bundle
Colors, Shapes, Vegetables, and Fruits
