Dot Markers
These Dot Marker Worksheets pair perfectly with dot markers. If you don’t have any dot markers here are a few of our favorite ones you can purchase off amazon.
Dot Marker Worksheets (ABC’s)
This free set of ABC dot marker worksheets I have made for you are these “Find and Dot the Letter”. I’ve made both uppercase and lowercase worksheets for each letter in the alphabet!
Talk with the child about the big letter that they will be looking for. I like to ask “do you know what this letter is?” Once they make a guess we will talk about what letter it is and what sound it makes. Kids love the challenge to find all the designated letters.
These worksheets help the child with letter recognition. They must look through all the letters to decipher whether or not they match the designated letter. Therefore, this really helps the child identify the letter they are working on.
Quick Tip:
Another way to help with letter sound recognition is for each time that they dot the letter they must make the letter sound. This repetition helps the child connect the letter sound to the letter shape.
When they dot the wrong letter be sure to stay positive! This can be a teaching moment. Sometimes letters can be really confusing – I mean just look at pdqb! When the child makes a mistake gently correct them saying something like, “Uh-oh! That one isn’t a -d-! That’s a -q-! See how the bubble part of the letter isn’t in the right place? That’s okay! Now try to find the rest of those sneaky -d-‘s!”

Dot Marker Worksheets (Numbers 1-10)
Here are some Dot Marker Worksheets for number recognition! For now, I have created worksheets for numbers 1-10. However, I do plan to do higher numbers soon and will update this post with them once they’re finished.

Dot Marker Worksheets (Counting 1-10)
Here are some Dot Marker Worksheets for counting and number recognition! For now, I have created worksheets for numbers 1-10. However, I do plan to do higher numbers soon and will update this post with them once they’re finished.
First, explain that the child needs to count the dots in the big circle, (you can help if needed). Then, have the child find all the numbers that correspond with the amount of dots! I like to ask “can you count the dots?” Then I ask if they know what the number for that many looks like. They usually catch on pretty quick!
