This book is amazing! Definitely one of my top recommendations to learn fun and interesting things in the history and geography of the USA.
The American Story: 100 Tales from American History
Age: 7-12
This collection of 100 tales from American history is phenomenal! The stories are interesting, short, and factual. Kids love this story approach to learning about history.
Timelines of Everything
Age: 8+
Great book covering the timelines of world history, from the Big Bang through the digital age!
When on Earth?
Age: 6 – 12
World history book. My favorite part of this book is that it shows the geographical spread of the most important historical events!
Most Recommended Encyclopedias for Kids (History and Geography)
These encyclopedias are highly recommended in the homeschool community, so you know they’ve got to be good! Packed full of information! Using these books is probably my favorite way to teach my kiddos history.

Age: 3+
This was one of the first Usborne sets I ever purchased, and my kids have LOVED it! With its engaging pictures and interesting facts, I love that this book is a simple introduction to history.
